Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1957, and completed his residency training at the Walson Army Hospital at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He is a Diplomate of the Federal Board of General Dentistry. Dr. Miller retired from the U.S. Army Dental Corps with the rank of Colonel. His assignments included Chief of General Dentistry at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
After retiring from the military, Dr. Miller taught full time in the Fixed Restorative Department of the University of Maryland Dental School. He later taught full time in the Oral Diagnosis Department at the Georgetown University Dental School, where he was a consultant to the Georgetown University Medical Center and the Lombardi Cancer Center for Oncology Dental Support Services.
Dr. Miller’s specialty is General Dentistry; his subspecialty of cancer management addresses dental symptoms associated with treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation. He is currently a consultant to numerous radiation oncology and head and neck surgery services in the region.
