Procedures

General dental procedures, normally provided in conjunction with other services offered at Bethesda TMJ, include:

• Radiographs (x-rays)
• Panorexes (a panoramic view of a person's upper and lower dental arches and associated structures)
• Routine cleanings
• Fluoride treatment
• Sealants
• Zoom bleaching, bleaching trays, and internal bleaching

Tomograms

Bethesda TMJ is one of very few practices in the area to have this capability. Tomograms provide a detailed view of the oral structures and associated areas. This is extremely useful in complex diagnostic situations, a beneficial tool in dental implant assessment and placement, complicated extractions, and in defining tumor margins. Tomograms are helpful in treating a number of orofacial pain conditions.
